I can’t get this link to work. I am trying to find out if my passport has an identifier. I have heard that some don’t. How can I find out?
Hi James, I have been registered for 14 yrs but applied for and received a renewal on my passport around the time the IML stuff was passed. I too am trying to figure out if my passport has an identifier on it. If you (or anyone reading this) knows where to look on the passport please let me know. TIA
A convicted offender, if they get a passport, will find this message inside: “The bearer was convicted of a sex offense against a minor, and is a covered sex offender pursuant to 22 United States Code Section 212b(c)(l).”
It looks like it is on the last page before the back cover.
I have had a passport for 20 of my 30 registered years. I have never had what you say in my passport. On renewel they did add a statue # that and a scan barcode that can be read by Authorities to see that information. But if joe citizen found my passport on the ground and flipped through it, nothing to indicate what you just stated.
Having said that, I have never had an issue entering any country, but 100% of the time got hassled when returning to the U.S. Was detained every time long enough to miss my connecting flight. Almost always had my luggage searched and damaged on purpose.
Due to those hassles, I stopped traveling until such time as freedom is really free.
