Paul, I have some questions to ask you. I currently have almost 3 years left to register. Jave you heard anything about travel for people that have come off the registry. Also, we were thinking about traveling soon to Puerto Rico or a Caribbean Island. Do you know how travel has been to those areas?
Thank you for the information on Puerto Rico.
ETIAS states you must reveal felony convictions in the last 10 years
regarding Terrorism, Sexual Assault, Murder and other offences
Interestly ETIAS website says this “At present, ETIAS applications are not checked against ECRIS
unless an applicant admits to a criminal record on the application form. However, the EU Commission
is currently considering changing this and allowing all applications, particularly those that raise
some suspicion, to be checked through ECRIS.

You can go to Puerto Rico without a passport but you must register there as a visitor.
The Caribbean is 50/50. Some countries do, some don’t. The travel matrix is helpful.
Even if you don’t have to register, be aware that some countries won’t allow anyone with any conviction, regardless of crime.
Also worth noting that starting next year the Schengen countries will be using the ETIAS system, so some RSOs maybe turned away. We’ll see.
Thank you for the information on Puerto Rico.
